Additional information for users in Asia-Pacific · Effective date: 27 August 2026
About this Addendum
This Addendum provides additional information for users of the ZOOP services, including the ZOOP Live application (the “App”), in certain Asia-Pacific countries. It applies together with, and in addition to, the ZOOP Privacy Policy (the “Policy”). If there is any inconsistency between this Addendum and the Policy, this Addendum prevails for users in the relevant country.
The controller of your personal data is ii Corporation (“ZOOP”). Our Data Protection Officer can be contacted at DPO@ZOOP.com. Your personal data is hosted in Ireland, in the European Union.
We do not use facial recognition or any other form of biometric identification, and we do not serve advertising targeted on the basis of your activity or interests. Advertising on the services is contextual, chosen by reference to the content you are looking at. We do not collect special categories of personal data, except where the law of your country classifies as sensitive something we do collect, in which case this is stated in the country entry below.
The minimum age for a ZOOP Account is 16. Where the law applicable to you sets a higher age, or requires the consent of a parent or guardian below a specified age, this is stated in the country entry below.
If you vote in ESC Asia, your voting data is collected through the official ESC Asia voting service at https://eurovisionasia.com/vote/ and is controlled by Voxovation, as described in the voting privacy notice made available there; this Addendum does not apply to that processing. Ticket purchases and payments are handled by the official ticketing service as an independent controller under its own terms and privacy policy.
If you are in the Republic of Korea, the following additional information applies under the Personal Information Protection Act (“PIPA”).
Korean-language version. This entry is also published in Korean at zoop.com and forms part of the Policy. Where the Korean version and this entry differ, the Korean version prevails for users in Korea.
Chief Privacy Officer and domestic representative. Our Chief Privacy Officer is the ZOOP Data Protection Office, contactable at DPO@ZOOP.com. We are below the thresholds at which a foreign controller must designate a domestic representative in Korea, and we have not designated one.
Personal information we collect and use:
| Items of personal information | Purpose of collection and use | Retention period | Basis |
| Account information (name, username, email, phone number, profile details) | Creating and operating your ZOOP Account and providing the ZOOP services and the App | For the life of your account, and for 30 days after you delete it | Performance of a contract |
| Ticket and transfer information (event, seat or category, ticket identifier and status, transfer history) | Delivering, displaying and validating tickets; processing transfers; refunds and dispute handling; fraud prevention | The event lifecycle, plus up to 24 months for refunds, disputes and legal obligations | Performance of a contract |
| Technical and device information (device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, push token, IP address, logs and crash data) | Operating and securing the services; service notifications; diagnostics; determining feature availability in your country | Up to 12 months | Performance of a contract |
| Analytics identifier (a random number stored in your browser) and associated usage events | Understanding how the services are used so that we can improve them | Identifier up to 6 months; event records up to 90 days | Consent (optional — you may refuse) |
| Support communications | Responding to your enquiries | Up to 24 months | Performance of a contract |
Your right to refuse. You may refuse to provide personal information. The items necessary for the performance of our contract with you are required to provide the services, and we will be unable to provide you with the ZOOP services or the App if you do not provide them. The analytics identifier is optional: refusing it, or withdrawing your agreement to it later, has no effect on your use of the services.
Consent. Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it separately for each purpose, and separately from your acceptance of the Policy. Consent to marketing is asked for separately from the consent needed to provide the services. You may withdraw any consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
Overseas transfer of personal information. Your personal information is transferred overseas as follows:
| Recipient (contact) | Country | Items transferred; time and method | Purpose and retention |
| ii Corporation and its hosting provider, Amazon Web Services (contact via DPO@ZOOP.com) | Ireland (European Union) | The items listed above; transferred at the time of collection via encrypted network transmission | Provision of the ZOOP services and the App; retained for the periods stated above |
Transfers from Korea to the European Union do not require your separate consent under the mutual adequacy arrangement in force since September 2025. You may request details of, or object to, the overseas transfer of your personal information by contacting DPO@ZOOP.com.
Breach notification. If a personal information breach occurs, we will notify you and the Personal Information Protection Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and we will tell you what happened, what information was involved, what we are doing about it and what you can do.
Destruction. When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, or the retention period ends, we destroy it without delay and in a manner that prevents recovery. Where a law requires us to keep particular records for longer, we keep only those records, separately from your account, and only for the period required.
Your rights and complaints. You have the rights of access, correction, deletion and suspension of processing under PIPA, the right to data portability, and the right to refuse a decision made solely by automated means where it significantly affects your rights or obligations. You may lodge a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (privacy.go.kr, 182) or apply for dispute mediation to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee operated by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972).
Thailand
If you are in Thailand, the following additional information applies under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”).
Contact. You may contact us and our Data Protection Officer at DPO@ZOOP.com in relation to the processing of your personal data. We are not required to appoint a representative in Thailand and have not appointed one.
Lawful bases. We process your personal data on the bases described in the Policy, which correspond to the PDPA bases of contractual necessity (Section 24(3)), legitimate interests (Section 24(5)) and legal obligation (Section 24(6)), and, where the Policy so states, on your consent. We do not process sensitive personal data under Section 26.
International transfers. Your personal data is hosted in Ireland, in the European Union, under appropriate safeguards in accordance with the PDPA and the notifications of the Personal Data Protection Committee.
Your rights. You have the rights of access, data portability, objection, erasure, restriction, rectification and withdrawal of consent under the PDPA, exercisable via DPO@ZOOP.com, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee.
Vietnam
If you are in Vietnam, the following additional information applies under the Law on Personal Data Protection (Law No. 91/2025/QH15) and Decree No. 356/2025/ND-CP.
Local contact point. We are registered with the competent Vietnamese authority as a cross-border service provider and have appointed a local contact point in Vietnam. You may contact us directly at DPO@ZOOP.com.
Consent. When you first use the ZOOP services or the App in Vietnam, we ask for your consent to each purpose of processing described in the Policy, separately and specifically. You may withdraw your consent at any time via DPO@ZOOP.com or your account settings; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal, and some services cannot be provided without the processing described.
Children. The minimum age for a ZOOP Account is 16, and accounts are not available to anyone below that age. Where Vietnamese law requires the consent of a parent or guardian for a user below a higher age, we obtain that consent in addition to the user’s own before processing their personal data.
Impact assessments and transfers. We maintain the processing impact assessment dossier and the cross-border transfer impact assessment dossier required by Vietnamese law for the transfer of your personal data to our hosting infrastructure in Ireland. We submit them to the competent authority within the statutory period, keep them available for inspection, and review and update them every six months and whenever there is a significant change.
Responding to you. We will acknowledge a request concerning your personal data within two working days and respond substantively within the period prescribed by law.
Your rights. You have the rights to know, to consent, to access, to withdraw consent, to delete, to restrict, to obtain, to object, to complain and to claim damages as provided by Vietnamese law, exercisable via DPO@ZOOP.com.
Philippines
If you are in the Philippines, the following additional information applies under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Data Protection Officer. Our designated Data Protection Officer can be contacted at DPO@ZOOP.com.
Sensitive personal information. Philippine law classifies a wider range of information as sensitive than most other countries, and includes your age within that classification. Where we ask you to confirm your age, or collect your date of birth, in order to apply the minimum age for a ZOOP Account, we are processing sensitive personal information about you, and we do so with your consent and only for that purpose.
Your rights. You have the rights to be informed, to object, to access, to rectification, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability under the Data Privacy Act, exercisable via the contact above. If you die or become incapacitated, your lawful heirs and assigns may exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Nepal
If you are in Nepal, the following additional information applies under the Individual Privacy Act 2075 (2018).
Consent. By creating a ZOOP Account and using the services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting DPO@ZOOP.com, without closing your account, although some services cannot be provided without the processing described in the Policy.
Grievances. You may raise any grievance regarding your personal information with our designated contact at DPO@ZOOP.com. In the absence of a dedicated data protection authority in Nepal, complaints concerning privacy are heard by the District Court.
If you are in Malaysia, the following additional information applies under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, as amended in 2024.
Data Protection Officer. We have appointed a Data Protection Officer and notified the appointment to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner. You may contact the Data Protection Officer at DPO@ZOOP.com, including to request access to or correction of your personal data.
Security breaches. Where we have reason to believe a personal data breach has occurred, we notify the Commissioner as soon as practicable, and we notify you where the breach is likely to cause you significant harm.
Language. The ZOOP Privacy Policy and this Addendum are also available in Bahasa Malaysia at https://zoop.com/malaysia-privacy-addendum. Sekiranya terdapat sebarang percanggahan antara versi Bahasa Inggeris dan versi Bahasa Malaysia, versi Bahasa Inggeris akan diguna pakai.
Mongolia
If you are in Mongolia, the following additional information applies under the Law of Mongolia on Personal Data Protection, in force since 1 May 2022.
Consent and rights. We process your personal data with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. You have the right to be informed of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to object to its processing, and to ask for its deletion where we have no lawful basis to keep it. You may contact us at DPO@ZOOP.com, and you may complain to the competent Mongolian authority.
Bangladesh
If you are in Bangladesh, the following additional information applies under the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026, which replaced the Personal Data Protection Ordinance, 2025. The Act applies to us because we provide services to people located in Bangladesh, even though we process their personal data outside the country.
Consent. We ask for your consent before collecting, storing, transferring or using your personal data, except where another lawful basis under the Act applies, and you may withdraw it at any time by contacting DPO@ZOOP.com.
Transfers abroad. We do not store your personal data in Bangladesh. It is processed outside the country, principally in the European Union, where our infrastructure is hosted. We transfer it only on a basis the Act allows, under written agreements requiring the recipient to protect it, and we keep records of those transfers.
Your rights. You have the rights of access, correction, erasure and objection described in the Policy, exercisable at DPO@ZOOP.com, and you may complain to the authority established under the Act. We will update this entry as the requirements of the Act are implemented during its compliance period.
Bhutan, Cambodia and Laos
If you are in Bhutan, Cambodia or Laos, the ZOOP Privacy Policy applies to you in full, and by creating a ZOOP Account and using the services you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in it.
These countries do not currently have a comprehensive data protection framework of the kind described in the entries above. Bhutan’s Information, Communications and Media Act 2018 and Laos’s Law on Electronic Data Protection contain provisions relevant to personal data, and a data protection law is under preparation in Cambodia; we comply with those rules where they apply to us, and we will update this entry as the position changes.
You can contact us about your personal data, including to request access, correction or deletion, at DPO@ZOOP.com.
India
If you are in India, the following additional information applies under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, as their provisions come into force.
Notice and consent. The Policy and this Addendum describe the personal data we process, the purposes, and how to exercise your rights, and serve as the notice accompanying your consent where consent is the applicable basis. You may withdraw consent at any time via DPO@ZOOP.com or your account settings; withdrawal does not affect prior processing, and some services cannot be provided without the processing described.
Children. Under Indian law a person under the age of 18 is a child. The minimum age for a ZOOP Account in India is accordingly 18. We do not track a child, monitor a child’s behaviour, or direct interest-based advertising at a child in any circumstances.
Your rights. You have the rights to access a summary of your personal data and of the processing activities, to correction, completion, updating and erasure, to grievance redressal, and to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
Grievance redressal. Our Grievance Officer can be contacted at DPO@ZOOP.com and will respond within the periods prescribed by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Updates to this Addendum
We will update this Addendum as the laws of these countries evolve, including to reflect the implementation of the Bangladeshi framework and the phased entry into force of the Indian framework, and any material change will be notified as described in the Policy.
