Artist Challenge – Road to Bangkok
Official Terms and Conditions — last updated 30 September 2026
1. Who runs the Challenge
The ZOOP x Eurovision Song Contest Asia Artist Challenge (the “Challenge”) is run by ii Corporation, doing business as ZOOP (“ZOOP”, “we”, “us”). By entering, you accept these Terms and the ZOOP Terms of Service. If they conflict, these Terms prevail for the Challenge.
The Challenge is run solely by ZOOP. It is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Apple or Google. Eurovision Song Contest Asia and the related names and logos belong to their owners and are used with permission.
Entry is free. No purchase is necessary to enter, to refer or to win.
2. Dates
The Challenge opens at 00:00 Bangkok time (UTC+7) on 30 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 Bangkok time on 20 October 2026 (the “Challenge Period”). Referrals made outside the Challenge Period do not count. The winner will be announced on or around 21 October 2026.
3. Who can enter
The Challenge is open to solo artists and bands (each an “Artist”) worldwide, except:
- in Australia, where the ZOOP app is not available;
- where the Challenge is prohibited or restricted by law, and in countries or regions subject to comprehensive sanctions, including mainland China and North Korea;
- employees and contractors of ZOOP, Voxovation Inc. and anyone else involved in running the Challenge, and their immediate families.
You must be 16 or over. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need the consent of your parent or legal guardian, who must accept these Terms on your behalf. If an Artist under 18 wins, the parent or guardian must travel as the plus one and accompany the Artist throughout the trip.
A band enters through one ZOOP account held by a band member, who acts for the band and confirms that every member meets these eligibility rules and accepts these Terms.
You must hold a ZOOP account in good standing and be free to take part: no existing agreement (with a label, manager, publisher, broadcaster or another competition) may prevent you from entering, performing or granting the rights in these Terms.
Each Artist may enter once, and each person may be part of one entry only.
4. How to enter
Join the Challenge through the Challenge page in the ZOOP app during the Challenge Period. You will receive a unique referral link to share with your fans.
5. How the leaderboard works
Each valid referral counts as one vote on the leaderboard. A referral is valid only if the person:
- signs up to ZOOP for the first time during the Challenge Period through your unique link;
- is 16 or over and completes ZOOP account verification; and
- is a real individual signing up on their own behalf.
Each person counts once, for the first Artist whose link they use. The live leaderboard is indicative only; final counts are confirmed after our checks.
You must not use fake or duplicate accounts, bots or scripts, buy or sell referrals, offer money or other rewards for sign-ups, spam, or make misleading claims about ZOOP, the Challenge or the Eurovision Song Contest Asia. We may remove referrals, adjust counts or disqualify any Artist we reasonably believe has broken these rules.
6. How the winner is chosen
At close, the five Artists with the most valid referrals (the “Top 5”) go forward to a jury made up of members of the ZOOP team. If Artists are tied for fifth place, the Artist who reached that count first goes forward.
The jury picks the winner from the Top 5 on the basis of:
- the quality and originality of the Artist’s music and live vocal performance;
- the Artist’s engagement with their community on ZOOP;
- suitability for a warm-up/pre-show performance at the event; and
- the Artist’s ability to meet the requirements in section 8.
The jury may ask the Top 5 for a performance video or other information by a set deadline. The winner is chosen on merit; there is no element of chance. The jury’s decision is final.
7. The Prize
The winner receives:
- US$10,000;
- the opportunity to perform as an official warm-up/pre-show performer at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia Grand Final event in Bangkok, Thailand (see section 8);
- return economy flights to Bangkok for two people (the Artist plus one), from the airport nearest to where the Artist lives or another airport we reasonably agree, booked by ZOOP; and
- hotel accommodation in Bangkok for two people, for the nights ZOOP determines around the performance.
For a band, the travel and accommodation cover two people in total. Any other band member travels at their own cost and performs only if production approves.
The Prize does not include passports, visas, travel insurance, airport transfers, meals, spending money or anything not listed above. The US$10,000 is paid by bank transfer to the account holder within 30 days after the performance, subject to identity and payment checks. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the Prize; we may withhold tax where the law requires.
The Prize is personal and not transferable. There is no cash alternative to the travel elements. If any travel element becomes unavailable, we may replace it with one of equal or greater value.
If the Grand Final is postponed, the performance and travel move to the new date where possible. If the Grand Final is cancelled, or the performance cannot take place for reasons outside the winner’s control, the US$10,000 is still paid, but the performance and travel elements lapse without further compensation.
8. Winner performance
The performance will take place prior to the main show/broadcast at a time determined by the event production team. The performance is not part of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia competition itself or the main broadcast. No broadcast, livestream, publication or distribution of the performance on Eurovision Song Contest Asia, Eurovision or any other television, digital or social media platform is guaranteed.
The winning performance must:
- be no longer than three (3) minutes in duration;
- use an original song and/or a song for which the winner holds or has obtained all necessary rights, licences, permissions and clearances;
- be performed using a production-approved backing track. Lead vocals may be performed live, but live instruments and substantial additional stage equipment will not be permitted unless expressly approved by production;
- be supplied in the technical format and by the deadlines specified by the production team; and
- comply with all technical, staging, safety, content and production requirements communicated by ZOOP and/or the event production team.
The winner must be available for all required rehearsals, sound checks, production calls and performances associated with the appearance. The precise schedule will be determined by the event production team.
Backstage facilities are limited. A dedicated dressing room, hair and makeup services, additional equipment, or facilities for an entourage are not guaranteed. The winner must comply with all venue, accreditation and backstage requirements.
The winner must hold a valid passport, be legally entitled to travel to and enter Thailand, satisfy all applicable eligibility and immigration requirements, and complete any required background checks, releases and participation documentation.
Participation in the performance remains subject to final eligibility verification and compliance with the technical, legal and production requirements of ZOOP and the event organisers. If the winner cannot satisfy these requirements within the deadlines provided, ZOOP reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to select an alternate eligible participant from the Top 5.
The performance schedule, format, technical arrangements and related production elements may be changed where reasonably required by the event organisers or production team. Participation does not guarantee inclusion in the main Eurovision Song Contest Asia broadcast, livestream or other official programming.
9. Rights
You keep ownership of your music and content. You grant ZOOP and the relevant event partners a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the content you post for the Challenge and, if you are in the Top 5 or win, your name, image, likeness and voice, for purposes connected with the Challenge, the event and their promotion, during the Challenge and for 24 months after the Grand Final.
The winner agrees that the performance and related activities may be photographed, filmed and recorded, and grants ZOOP and the relevant event partners the right to use those materials on the same basis. The winner will sign a release confirming these rights before travel.
You confirm that your content and performance do not infringe anyone else’s rights, and you are responsible for any claim that they do.
10. Your personal data
ZOOP processes your personal data as controller to run the Challenge, in line with the ZOOP Privacy Policy (zoop.com/privacy-and-cookies-policy). Your Artist name and referral count appear on the public leaderboard. If you win, we share the details needed for travel, accreditation and checks with the event organisers, production and travel providers. We may announce the winner’s Artist name and country. Questions: DPO@zoop.com.
11. Changes and cancellation
We may suspend, change or cancel the Challenge if fraud, technical problems or events outside our control affect it, or if the law requires. We will post any change on the Challenge page and will not reduce the Prize unless we have to.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, ZOOP is not liable for technical failures, lost or delayed referrals, or travel disruption outside its control. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights that the law of your country gives you.
13. Law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live and you keep the mandatory protections of its law.
